As one of the oldest commercial and industrial fencing companies, we are continually committed to providing only the best quality services and customer care. Since 1947 we’ve been installing all styles of fence, guard rail, and specialty items to the Chicago, IL area.

Summary:

Analyzes plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Estimates time, materials and labor required for each job and provide prospect with proposal.*

  • Review and process contracts, submittals and closeout documents.*

  • Schedules prompt and convenient estimate appointments for customers.*

  • Source materials and issue purchase orders for jobs.*

  • Audits installers and fabricators actual hours versus estimated hours.*

  • Assists in the collection of payments for each job in accordance with contract and company policies.*

  • Manage all projects through to completion.*

  • Start crews on job sites as needed.*

Education/Experience:

Preferred college degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; work in confined spaces; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
