Midwest Fence Corporation, a leader in the fencing industry since 1947, invites an experienced and skilled Advanced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining our high-standard fleet and specialized equipment.

Specialized Equipment Experience:
You will work with a range of specific equipment including International Trucks, diesel Ford trucks, various truck-mounted equipment, Hysters, and Bobcats.
​
Job Summary:
As an Advanced Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for expert repairs, comprehensive diagnostics, and maintaining the top-notch condition of our diverse fleet. Your role ensures our fleet operates efficiently and reliably.
​
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Advanced repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, primarily International Trucks and diesel Ford trucks.

Expert servicing of truck-mounted equipment and other specialized machinery such as Hysters and Bobcats.

Conduct thorough inspections and perform advanced diagnostic tests to accurately assess vehicle conditions.

Execute detailed routine maintenance and ensure vehicles meet high inspection standards.

Efficiently manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain meticulous repair and maintenance records.

Use advanced diagnostic tools to interpret complex vehicle error codes.

Maintain vehicle appearance through regular cleaning and washing.

Perform field maintenance and inspections of vehicles as required.

Keep the workspace organized and clean.

A CDL driver’s license is highly valued and considered a plus.

Stay updated with industry developments, new technologies, and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

A minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in diesel mechanics.

Valid driver’s license.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
