Midwest Fence Corporation's work at Wrigley Field spans decades, from supporting the historic ballpark's multi-year restoration to fabricating and installing custom architectural gates and specialty solutions for the Chicago Cubs today.
2014–2019 | Wrigley Field Restoration - Temporary Fence
During Wrigley Field's multi-year restoration, Midwest Fence provided temporary construction fencing and site-security barriers around the historic ballpark. As construction progressed through multiple phases, our temporary fencing helped secure active work areas and separate construction operations from the surrounding Wrigleyville neighborhood. This early phase marked the beginning of Midwest Fence's involvement in a project that would eventually extend well beyond temporary site protection.
2019 | Wrigley Field Restoration - Custom Fabricated Gates
As the restoration progressed, Midwest Fence's work transitioned from temporary fencing to permanent architectural features. Our team fabricated and installed custom ornamental gates and fencing throughout Wrigley Field, incorporating the distinctive green finish and architectural detailing that complement the historic character of the ballpark. Fabricated in-house and installed by Midwest Fence, these permanent gates demonstrate our ability to take complex custom metalwork from fabrication through final field installation.
Since the original restoration, Midwest Fence has continued to support the Chicago Cubs with additional specialty needs throughout the property, including custom crowd-control gates, interior enclosures, specialty gates, temporary fencing, and other fabricated solutions.
2026 | Wrigley Field Champions Gate
More than a decade after our work at Wrigley Field began, Midwest Fence returned to custom architectural gate fabrication with the Champions Gate at Gallagher Way. Fabricated in-house by our team and installed in 2026, the Champions Gate carries forward the ornamental character of the gates previously fabricated for Wrigley Field while creating a distinctive new entrance at Gallagher Way.
The installation required coordination from fabrication and transportation through rigging and final field installation in the heart of Wrigleyville.
Ongoing Repairs & Facility Support
Midwest Fence continues to support Wrigley Field beyond new construction and custom fabrication. Our team has completed permanent fence repairs and maintenance work throughout the property, including repairs along the outfield perimeter in preparation for Opening Day. In a high-traffic venue like Wrigley Field, maintaining existing fencing and infrastructure is just as important as installing new systems.
This ongoing work requires careful coordination, durable repairs, and the ability to perform efficiently in an active, highly visible environment. From temporary construction fencing and permanent ornamental gates to specialty repairs, crowd-control solutions, and custom fabrication, Midwest Fence continues to provide a broad range of fencing and metalwork services at Wrigley Field.
